Patience is a virtue...

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself and show off my truck that I just bought. It's a 71 C10 all original and I have been wanting one of these ever since my Dad got rid of his 72 when I was a kid...I won't forget riding around in it looking for wood to cut after an ice storm one year. Anyway, here she is.

Very nice. Congratulations. And welcome to the board. What are your plans for her?

Re: Patience is a virtue...

Plans are to keep it original but it does need some work. I want to get it back to like it was when it was new, but I'll be keeping the straight six and keeping the original integrity of the truck, but I do think power steering and a higher rear end gear ratio are in the near future.

71sixer your truck is sweet! What's the story on how you found/bought the truck? Your truck is clean and straight! Is it as rust free as straight?

71Sixer and fattyarbuckle,... Welcome to the board from another Missouri member.
Wow! Beautiful swb truck!
Was it a local truck?
Also,... if you'd like to sell those "dog dish" hubcaps,... I would be interested in them.

Ha.
That's slang for those small hubcaps on your truck.
They aren't correct for the year of truck you have.
They are actually passenger car hubcaps.
Really like your truck!

Welcome to the board from Washington.

Just a heads up for you, you need to be a supporting board member to sell children (and parts) on the board

And, welcome from yet another Missouri member!

As many have already mentioned, what a beautiful original SWB.

I'm curious where you pulled this one from. Was it a native MO truck?

Be sure to check out the regional section of the board as there are several get togethers throughout the state that members attend such as the Midwest All Truck Nat's in KC, Goodguys in KS and IA, and other gatherings. You should even consider running down to the Magic Dragon show at Lake Ozark (April 29-May 1); it is the largest show in MO with over 1,000 participants.

I travel through St Louis quite a bit for work, so I know the area quite well.

Good luck on the future progress of the truck, and be sure to start a build thread for any projects you have on the truck.

Cheers!
Nate
