1985 GMV Sierra short wheel base - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is it possible to install a 79 chevy grille on a 1985 gmc sierra? I was thinkng that if I used the 79 radiator support and fenders; everything would match up. Can someone please help me out! Im leaning toward giving my truck the 79 front clip.

you have to use the radiator support but i think you have to use the 85 hood because of the cowl on the cab not sure on the fenders

yea i believe you will have to change fenders
Grande Rojo did this swap he should be able to tell you how he did it

Not 100% sure on what all you need, but here is what I have taken from previous posts on the conversions. You will use the older radiator support, fenders, hood, grille, and the metal filler below the grill. You will also need to do something different with the wiper arms, but I can't remember exactly what you have to do.

you need the shorter wiper studs, so they fit under the back of the hood
