Radiator cleaning
not the inside but the outside. It has some of the green corrosion on it.I want to paint it before installing it and wondered if anyone had a way to get it good and clean.

You might try some vinegar and a toothbrush on it. Just put some in a spray bottle, spray it on and let it set for a few minutes. I don't know about that type of corrosion but it works on computer motherboards that have corrosion on them.... If you try it let us know either way. (works or not) LockDoc

Re: Radiator cleaning
In the olden days we would pour cola on battery terminals to clean corrosion, it may work for your application. I need to do the same thing to my rad.

Re: Radiator cleaning
i'd try spraying the outside with "lime-away" then carefully with hose or powerwasher rince prior to paint(thin coats)

Re: Radiator cleaning
Don't know about the rest of you but everytime I had green corrosion it indicated a leak. Might be so small it evaporates so you never see the leak but it will get worse. Take it to a radiator shop and have them check it out. Might save problems later on.
