Stock style seat cover for plain jane '72 GMC
Does anyone know where I can get a stock style seat cover for my '72 GMC?
I am assuming this seat cover is the original since the truck is a low mileage truck and the seat cover is hard as a rock in the spots where it is ripped. I have gone to Year One web site and thier seat covers have sewn patterns on them. Mine is just a pattern that is stamped in the material. I am really needing to replace it quickly because the drivers side finally ripped out bad and I want to reuse the foam since it is still in good shape. |

Re: Stock style seat cover for plain jane '72 GMC
That is what the YearOne seat cover looks like but it is over $300, the ebay one is definitely a deal.
I am actually looking for a stock style though, the YearOne and the one there on ebay has sewn in inserts but mine is actually one piece of material and the design in imprinted onto the material. Maybe I shouldn't be so picky about it and just get the deluxe seat cover with the hounds tooth cloth inserts, anyone else have the deluxe in theirs? |

This spring I was at a junk yard and there was a GMC with that style seat in it. It had an old ratty seat cover over it and when I looked under the seat cover the original seat looked brand new. If anyone is interested I could go back out and check to see if it's still there.

Try sms auto fabric They are not cheap, but they have tons of info and can make almost anything. They made ALL of the interior in my 1960 Chevy wagon and it is 100% correct.
