Look!!! Putter's making progress. **PICS**
I know everyone likes to see progress, so here is my offering to the "Progress Mongers"......
This is the '67 small window cab that I bought to use on my stepper. 1) I have removed everthing that will unbolt, pry off, pop out, or strip off.... 2) I have cut out the non A/C dash (which I was hacked up behind the radio's bezel) 3) I have welded in the A/C dash I got from a board member 4) I have sanded, primed, and sealed it with an epoxy sealer....and ....MAN, IS IT ORANGE !?!?!? **I had the sealer tinted orange on purpose, so I can get a visual aide and see if I really want to go through with the actual paint color that is from a Mazda-6 (kinda' a burnt orange, almost cinnimon color) Slow....but at least it is progress!!!

Lookin great Putter. That orange is definitely a bit more eye catching than the original green. Can't wait to see it next time I am up there.

(This orange is waaayyyy brighter than the actual paint color, which has more red showing up, but it will work for a visual....plus....anybody can run red oxide, grey, or tan.....)

[QUOTE=Putter]Well, I also like the color on the new F-350s (which I think is identical...or as close as you can get), but I think I would rather tell folks it is a MAZDA color.....don't you think??
Yup..for sure!! Since we are on the subject.. I really like some of the Mini-Cooper colors too.

Don't feel bad about using a Mazda colour (not that you should -- it looks kickin' rad!!)...
You know, Copperhead's colour was actually taken from a Ford!!! The only reason I know, it's the exact same colour as my truck (damn copy-cats ) Except copperhead has more pearl added. Look up Ford paint code B06 from 2000, called mandarin gold, or ppg mandarin copper, it's used mostly on explorers and sport traks from what I can tell. sure does look better on copperhead than on a ford though.
