69 c10 rebuild - removing the dash pad
hey guys! glad i found ya, hopefully i can pick up some much need info here. im currently restoring a 69 chevy cst/10. working in the cab now and i have it completely stripped except for the dash pad. Ive got the 4 screws out that are toward the front, but this thing is still not budging. are the screws that i am missing? on the underside perhaps? any knowledge would be extremely helpful. thnaks!

yes there are some fasteners facing straight down from top of dash.

More specifically, there are about 6-8 speed nuts on the underside of the pad, behind the dash. You can get to them easiest with the glovebox and gauge cluster removed, but the center ones can still be a pain. Since you said the cab is gutted, you may just be able to reach behind with a nut driver and get them off. Good luck! I installed mine with everything in the cab, what a pain haha

There is also one on the backside in each corner, those are the biggest pain in the a... in my opinion...
