Question Glove Box Door Emblem

Just received my new glovebox door emblem. Looks like it needs to be secured from the backside. How am I supposed to do that? Should I just glue it?

Re: Glove Box Door Emblem

Actually the posts on the emblem go into funky little barbed (for lack of a better term) inserts that are crimped into holes in the face of the G-box door.
I don't know if they are reproduced or not, but you might check your local automotive painting supply house...they usually carry those kinds of things.

Re: Glove Box Door Emblem

They sent me little washer things that have to go on from the backside. I'll have to look for those ones you mentioned, or I might just glue it on and be done with it.

If you can get in touch with a company called Kimball Midwest, they have them.

think twice....................before you cut the studs off the back it will only take a few minutes to do it right and order the inserts and drill some holes. You don't have a trim on there now, so why rush , it can wait.

You can't put the studs back on.....................but you can wait to do it right!

I have a Chevrolet Custom emblem on there now, so the holes are already there. Do you think the inserts that are there will stay if I remove the old emblem?

Where can you get new stickers from? Are they aftermarket or does GM offer them?

Went out to the truck and pried the emblem up. Speed nuts stayed. Joy.
