Father and Son Projects!!

It was a nice day and I was helping my son work on his truck. So once we finnished his truck I decided to snap a couple of pics of our trucks by themselves and side by side. Can you see the youth influenced in his truck???..lol What's kinda funny is mine is a GMC disguised as a Chevy and his is a Chevy disguised as a GMC... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Your sons truck is cool, but I am going to have to vote for the father's truck in this case.
Both are AWESOME trucks!!
Is that the "garden truck"?

Thanks guys, Yes it is the Garden Truck. It is kind of ironic that he would have the same love of these trucks as I do. We even share names,, only he is WES Jr. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Thanks again. Little WES likes the fact that he can pull it into Dad's shop to work on it. If he needs a part, well he doesn't have to go very far to find one..lol He doesn't like it when I am telling him that he is doing something wrong..lol However it is a different story when dad comes around and in a few minutes aligns a door, hood, or fender that he has been working hours on..lol Keeps him humble.. son's truck

Wes, I looked at that truck long and hard. Charlie Coleman's truck? It was a nice one. If I hadn't already gathered all the stuff up for my project, I'd probably own it. Very nice trucks. You guys have good taste (not overdone). Brian

Wes I have a question for you....when you put those wheels on your truck did the center caps fit ok, I have the same ones but my caps won't fit on the rear because the hub sticks out too far. I either have to put a spacer behind the wheel or find deeper caps. BTW...both are nice looking trucks!! Thanks, Gord

Thanks again everyone.
userc10, I am not sure what wheels they are, the center caps have lettering that starts with a M in script, but what follows looks kind of like a B in script. The tires are NITTO Super Mud Grip 20s. (Something like that)
72gord, The answer to your question is no they didn't fit. There are 3 different remidies that I know of.
1. Use earlier (smooth cap) 1 ton centers.
2. Use wheel spacers.
3. (The one that I did) Take a "Roto Zip" with the circle cutting atachment and cut the centers out of the caps. 3 5/8" was the diameter of the hole I cut.
Burnsman, You hit the nail on the head. I purchased this truck from him a couple of months ago. It had major body alignment issues and someone had made a bad attempt at trying to turn a non air truck into an air truck to it. My son and I worked on it for weaks turning it back into a non air truck, and realigning the cab and entire front end. When we got it you could barely close the hood and the cowling, grill, and interior wasn't installed. The wireing was a nightmare too. We worked together on it to make it a nice driver for now and Jr. has a few more plans for it in the future, but he wants to and I agreed that he should enjoy it for now and pay Dad off for it. lol WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Trucks are looking goow Wes, how is the panel coming along?
And concerning your pics, I would suggest using Irfanview to do the re-sizing, that way you will not lose the quality of the pics. It's free, and a great little program for re-sizing, cropping, etc. I use it almost every day for something, and have not found a photo program any better.
