14 bolt FF gear ratio ? ? ?
Was it possible from GM to get a 3:21 gear ratio in a 14 FF ??? I have like 6 of them and just wanted to know if that gear ratio was possible before I go counting gears. I know you could get that in a semi floater and of course I have none of those.
Im looking to keep my 400 turbo but, have highway gears. Im converting my SRW to DRW but have decided to use Arrowcraft adapters for the rear.

It looks like the answer is no from GM, but it is available in an aftermarket gear set. I do see a GM part# 14-342 for 3.42 gears.

I had a 3/4 srw truck with a 3:21 that came stock in it. I parted it out years ago. I probably have one. Just gotta look

From my research they did come from gm mostly in the pre 1980 models though. suposedly a "rare" option.
If you find one I would be looking for a set if the price was o.k. I am swaping to an overdrive but am aslo swaping a cummins into mine 1987 reg cab dually R30 |
