taking dash bezel off

Is it neccessary to take out the windshield wiper and lights knobs in order to get the guage cluster cover off? If so, how exactly do I do that?

We need an FAQ on this one.

Yes you have to take them off.

To remove the light switch, reach behind the dash, find the light switch. Aginst the dash on top you will find a button on a spring. Press that down and pull out the light switch like you normaly do, except it should come off. Then remove the chrome trim ring, there should be two holes that you can put snap ring plyres into.

For the wiper, there should be a small set screw on the base of the black knob, loosten that and remove the knob. Then remove the trim ring just like the light switch.

Same question I asked a couple weeks back On the light knob, pull it out to parklights first, then push the button down and pull out.

And disconnect your battery first, since when you pull the knob out of the light switch, the lights stay on.
