Quick ratio vs Variable ratio
Looking to hear some experinces/opionions regarding Quick ratio vs Variable ratio steering gears.
I do know that the variable gear may have a "softer" feel on the highway. It also has less turns lock to lock (quick - 3.5, variable - 3.25). What do you have, do you like it and why? Thanks, |

Re: Quick ratio vs Variable ratio
I have variable ratio on my longhorn, & I do like it . Its a he!! of a bunch better than what came off the old 69......plus it was cheap! It came off an 84 burb that was free for the tow away the most noticeable diff is in town, a lot less swingin on the wheel to do the corners. I dont think it feel bad on the hyway either. I havent driven a close ratio box on these trucks to compair with tho.... L
