1967 1968? Trying to identify the year?

Hey guys. Im looking at picking this truck up as a builder or just parts. I don't have much info on it and was wondering if someone could tell me what it looks like to them. I think it looks to be a 1967 or 1968. Maybe you know for sure. Thanks.

Looks like a later model with a 67 front clip... Best to check the VIN.

ok. I thought it looked like a 67 front clip. I don't care much about the rest. Like I said, I am picking it up for parts, unless the condition is better than the one I have. Thanks

Re: 1967 1968? Trying to identify the year?

OK so the dead give away between the 67 and 68 is inside the cab. The key bezel surround will be about the size of a half dollar on the 67 and much larger on the 68-72 models.
Could be a 67 with Panoramic Window option. If not then probably a 68 with front fender marker ligth holes welded shut.

I guess it could be a '67 with a later bed.

Re: 1967 1968? Trying to identify the year?

68-72 vent windows
67 fenders
67-68 hood and grille
68-72 bed
is the rear window small?? if so 1967 cab
large rear window would be a 1968-72 (a few 67s had a large window)
frame looks like 6 lug 1967-1970

if its a large rear window cab . ill take a guess that it could be a 69-70. with a 67 nose swaped onto it.

if its a small window cab illguess its a 67 with a newer bed and doors.

ill go with 69-70

bring on the vin #

Re: 1967 1968? Trying to identify the year?

I gave 1000 for this one with no motor and no tranny. Had maybe 2 dings in it, rusted rockers and lower door skins So I thought it was in pretty good shape

LOL no I think it sat there so long the tires were coming apart. The guy I bought it from kept telling me he was going to fix it up. It had been sitting there for 10 years lol sure he was

Thats pretty good. Not only the year got pinned down but the portion of the state it is in got figured out also.
