Cab paint divider trim ?

Hi guys, is there a way to attach the cab paint divider trim on a cab that has no factory studs/attachments for the clips. Could you drill holes and then set some type of screw to hold the clips in place? Thanks in advance for any help out their.

I am going to try to weld a nail with a similar size head as the the original stud in place. I, however am only missing one stud for some reason. Maybe it will work without replacing it at all.

Back when cars still had shiney trim on them they were held on with small nails and plastic clips. When replacement trim was needed it came with small phillips head screws with thread sealer on them. I'd check with a local body shop to see if they might have some left over or can point you to a body parts supply house.

Re: Cab paint divider trim ?

Yup, you just get the clips, and measurements from a cab with factory studs (GMCPaul has these measurements) and you just use a #10 sheet metal screw to hold the plastic clip in place. What I did to my 67.

They make them for welding stud guns---auto body. You do have to strip the area to bare metal to weld them.
