72 LWB C20, flowmaster 40's under bed. Amazingly quiet for this set up.
95 Xcab GMC same mufflers under cab - very loud. Iknow, different trucks but I think the later model would be better insulated. |

The later model is better insulated, but due to the overdrive gears, the engine typically runs in that "drone" spot a lot more. Try running the 95 just over 2000 RPM on the highway (or right about where the other one runs). You should notice almost no drone. At least that's been the experience so far.

Under bed - If lowered, mount the mufflers on their side and not flat for trailing arm clearance.
