My wifes 70 build.
I LUCKED UP SCORED A 70 STEP SIDE PICK UP. ITS GOT TILT WHEEL 400SBC POWER STEARING, NEW TAILGATE, HEADER PANEL, AND OAK BED KIT. I WILL BE UPLOADING PICS UP TO WHERE WE ARE AT THROUGH OUT THE DAY.

it is better shape than i expected. It had some rust in lower doors that was glassed over. We just removed it and patched. I am just waiting for it to bite me like they all do. I have never had on go together smooth. Like my ss chevelle still in the garage off the frame crying for me to work on. I just cant get motivated to go out to that side lol. These trucks are a blast and can find anything for them.

SHAVED THE ANTENNA HOLE AND HOOD EMBLEM. IT IS A 70 BUT SOMEBODY PUT A 71-72 FRONT END ON IT.

BOUGHT SOME COKER 235 70 R 16 WW AND SOME VINTIQUES 16X8 AND 16X7 STEELIE AND DOG DISH CAPS
[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] THATS IT UP UNTIL NOW. I GOT A SAMPLE SEWED OF THE INTERIOR IM PUTTING IN. IT WILL BE RED WITH BLACK PIPEING WITH SILVER OSTRICH INSERTS. I AM GOING TO MAKE A CUSTOM DOOR PANELS, KICKPANELS, AND ARM REST. THIS IS JUST A DRIVER I GOT FRIENDS THAT HAVE CARS THAT WOULD LOSE YEARS OF SLEEP IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THEM. MINE MAYBE A COUPLE OF HOURS LOL. PAINTING WILL COME IN COUPLE OF DAYS, THAN TO THE UPHOLSTERY SHOP FOR FINAL WIREING AND ASSEMBLIE. I ALSO GOT AN OLD FLYING O BEACH CRUISER TO GO IN THE BED FOR HER TO RIDE AT CRUISE INS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Thanks 2 all, got it sanded down in the booth, paint goes on tomorrow if it drys out from the water sanding. If not tuesday the latest, then to the upholstry shop. Pulling the blazer tank out and got a fuel cell out. Need more room back there, i guess some of you know why. Will be another project in the summer lol.

thanks i could not have done it without the help of my friends. They scheduled my wifes truck from shop to shop so i could get it in no waiting. Now my chevelle will not go so well, because my wife is super pumped about her truck i now get to install a ls1 and 6 speed in it. Plus my friend like my wife more than me lol.

OK MADE SOME MORE PROGRESS. GOT THE CARPET CUT AND GLUED DOWN AND THEN PUT IN THE SEAT BELTS.

WE NOTICED WHEN SEWING THAT THE INSERT GRABBED BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW BAD. OFF 1/2 INCH ON TOP. I DONT KNOW IF I WILL BOTHER PULLING IT APART TO FIX.
