Help with Tahoe seats
I think I scored big yesterday. I got second row leather Tahoe seats from a 97 for $60. There the 60/40 split. My body shop guy wants to know how to do this-your help is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks!!

Re: Help with Tahoe seats
not sure if yours are the same as mine (mine are either '00 or '02, i forget) and 40/20/40...
but the second row seat brackets i have just require new holes to be drilled in the floor. the 2nd row seats i got came with the mounting frame, and the frame fits perfectly behind that raised section in our floors. any pics of your mounting on those seats?

Re: Help with Tahoe seats
I did a lot of cut and weld on the seat brackets to get it in the right place. If you just put them in stock they sit very high and forward. It wasn't a good ride being on top of the steering wheel. I chopped the brakets up and shortened the steering column 1.5" now it in a good spot. Its a sweet ride on the highway and they still tilt for storage. I still have the in cab gas tank.

Re: Help with Tahoe seats
after mock-up, i took 2" of height off of the seat brackets. but dwscr is pretty right on about the steering collumn length.
i might just look into a grant replacement with less dish... just another option for getting the stock wheel out of your crotch

Re: Help with Tahoe seats
Thats about how much I cut out. i also reshaped the pivot brackets so the whole seat front was back ontop of the cross hump and it bolted near the original mounts.
