Got a lot done...
Tonight I managed to completely remove the head from the passenger side of the engine. It was my first time going this far into a Chevy motor, usually spent all my time working on jeeps.
A few pointers I learned... If your motor slant back a little, be prepared to collect antifreeze as you go. It is a lot easier to get the exhaust header out of the way. There are no short cuts. Do it step by step. The block will be in the shop this week to get the rocker stud replaced. Then it will all go back together. Also my jeep should be done in a week or so.., Hopefully it is the last of the major projects for the summer. Replacing a cam in one engine and pulling the head on the other is a lot for little old. Not to mention the wife is working extra and leaving me to fend for myself against the 4 year old and the 4 month old.
