Does anybody have any pics of 16" corvette rallys on 67-72 truck

I'm thinking of using these, 16x8 front with 235/55/16 and 16x10 rear with 295/50/16. I tried to search but it seems everbody is running 15" combo. I was thinking that the extra inch would look good on our trucks without being to big. I've seen picks of the 17" versions but really like the idea of the 16" oddball size. I'll be running a 5/7 drop with this setup. If anyone has any pics please post them thankyou.

Corvette Ralley wheels will not fit these trucks w/o some kind of adapter. The bolt pattern is different. The truck pattern is a 5" bolt circle, while the Corvette uses the typical car patten of 4.75". The only "car" wheels that fit the truck pattern are from big old station wagons from the 60s-70s and the "cop car" Caprices and Impala SS from the '90s.
If you go the adapter route, look for the wheels from the 90s and newer. They have the positive off-set to make up the space of the adapters.

He may be be talking about the 16" corvette rallys that are available through wheel vintique. I think they are available in 5x5.

Sorry, yes i was talking about the corvette "style" rallys by wheel vintique, and summit carries them in a 6x5.5 pattern so i wouldn't have to change anything. I know the car rallys are 5x4.75 and don't fit.

I have 15-inch Wheel Vintiques on my '69. 8's in the east; 10's out west. You will not go wrong with their wheels. Summit has great pricing. They used to ship for free. Not any more.

Look no further. 15x8 in the front and 15x14 in the back. Had Early Wheel in SO Cali build mine custom and they were cheap.

prostreetC-10 did you have to narrow your rear to fit those huge tires and what size tires are you running front and rear. Your truck looks so mean.

It's funny....I run bigger tires in the front and a lot of guys run in the rear. The fronts are actually 275/60/15's and the rear are 15x18.5's.

I didn't plan on running that big of a tire up front but it was the only way I could get the rake and the fender well filled up correctly. I also wanted them to match the back so they didn't look like pizza cutters. Just like in the pics, when you look at the truck, those tires don't look that big at all. Also helps it drive better with all that weight up front.

Just go to my signature section below and click on the red link that says "my sorta build thread". It goes into exactly how I got those tires under there and the rear end is not narrowed. You just have to have a stock coil rear setup.

Wow just read thru your build thread now you have me thinking of goin with the 15's but much wider in the rear but my truck is going to have a 5/7 drop so i guess i have some figuring to do. I'm not worried about my bed floor since it is a wooden floor and has to be completely replaced anyway, gives me the perfect oppurtunity to do whatever i want with it. Any suggestions, i'm liking the 15x12 with the 15.5 rear tire. Will need a lot of motor to turn those 18.5 tires lol.

The first part of my build thread and the pic with the bed off is actually the 15x12 with the 15.5's. I wanted to go as crazy as possible with the motor out the hood so I went with the 18.5's once I realized I could get them under there. The wooden bed floor would actually be easier than what I did because you can just rip the final boards to the desired width.

I basically have the 5/7 drop too. The tires are no more harder to turn than any other tire. You'll need to C-notch the frame to be safe. 7" is too close and one good shot will work your fillings loose.

I do know on the 12" wide wheels, which is actually a total of 13" from lip to lip, I split the offset down the middle. 6.5 and 6.5. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks alot prostreetC-10 i started this thread asking about 16" rallys and now i'm thinking about running 15x12's with 15 inch wide rear tires lol. I was going to c-notch the frame anyway so thats no biggie. Now if I could only finish the metal work on the cab I could start with my frame and suspension.

It's funny that I overlooked the 16" part. Just a couple of things to think about. What's nice about the 15" is that tires are easier to come by. With really big tires like mine, the 1" diff isn't really anything. This is just a personal thing but I'm not a big fan of a lot of wheel and a little skinny sidewall. I realize that 16" is not really big at all but I just like the look of a lot of tire sidewall on an older truck. The other thing is that the sportsmans only come in 15". The radials come in 18 and 20 but then the cost of the wheel goes through the roof. My 2 cents

Here is my burb with 16 in ralleys cop car caps and 285 tires on it. Lowered 3\4.

I was thinking about the 16" rallys to be different from the rest of the crowd but now i'm really liking the idea of the fat pro street look in the rear on a lowered truck. Your truck has really sold me prostreetC-10, i love the way it looks. I'm thinking about using the MT Radial tires cause they have a 29x15x15 and then run a 255/60/15 tire upfront. It should really look good. I know the radials are pricey but it will be worth it in the end plus they look really cool.

Those 16" rallys on that suburban look awesome. Really clean looking truck.

I'm looking for a set now. They are worth the money. Check ebay from time to time. Might find a set that has very low miles and a bunch off the new price. I'll be looking for the 18.5s so we won't be fighting each other! lol
