Replacement Shocks
I need new shocks on the truck and when doing a search nothing seems to come up for the rear except some very expensive ones at Advanced auto parts.
I found an Monroe OESpectrum part number for the front but wondering if anyone knows if their shock for the '63 rear will fit or can recommend a model# for the rear? It seems it should work as they are not that different from '61 to '63. It needs to be approx 20" extended. The shocks I took off have no brand name on them and the part# D29RC1F is not pulling up on searches. |

Re: Replacement Shocks
The '60-'62 rear shocks are different from the '63-'72 rear shocks. Sorry I don't have a part number for you. I'm sure someone here does. Have you looked in the FAQ section?

Re: Replacement Shocks
Rock auto showed Monroes and Gabriels but were out of the latter. So I called up Monroe and talked to a tech and he recommended the Monroe GASMATIC LT 59358 for the rears and OESpectrum 37187 for the fronts. The GASMATIC had almost the exact same specs as stock shock so it should work fine. I get them in today so will share if they work or not.
