Auxilary Leaf Spring Bumpers
Where do I find them? On my truck, the auzilary leaf springs are supposed to have a rubber bumper that rests on the rear axle when carrying a heavy load. I ordered a pair from LMC, but they do not fit. After further investigation, the LMC diagram shows a bracket that the leaf springs rest on. On my truck, however, the leaf spring comes to rest directly upon the axle.
Please advise where to find these little rubber pieces. I can't find them anywhere! Thanks.

How about a picture of what your talking about. That would might make it a little easyer to know exactly what you are talking about.

Re: Auxilary Leaf Spring Bumpers
Your truck is missing the factory installed load plates, the leafs or not made to rest on the axle. You will need to first get the load plates from somone parting out a truck or who has some in their stash.
The rubber bumpers that you got from LMC will fit right in. Last edited by burb71; 10-10-2010 at 02:17 PM. |
