Help identifying demon carburetor please.

CAN I GET SOME HELP IDENTIFYING THIS DEMON CARBURETOR.

THERE ARE NO MODEL NUMBERS ON IT AND I WENT TO THE DEMON WEBSITE TO TRY AND IDENTIFY THE CARB WITH NO LUCK.

WAS HOPING SOMEONE ON HERE HAS SOME EXPERIENCE WITH DEMON CARBS.

HERE IS THE SITE.

ON THE BOTTOM OF CARB ARE TWO SETS OF NUMBERS 156 AND 169

Its a Road Demon Jr. it may be 525 625 or 725

look at he front jets and see if they are #58 or #70 or #76
and the primary booster is annular or downleg

They PO may have changed the jets but not the booster or butterfly.
There will also be a single digit cast into the air horn not stamped either a 6 or a 7 . 7 is a 725 , 6 can be either 525 or 625

#58 jet with cast #6 and Annular primary booster and 1-9/16 primary butterfly is 525
#70 jet with cast #6 and Downleg primary booster and 1-9/16 primary butterfly is 625 and
#78 jet with cast #7 and Downleg primary booster and 1-11/16 primary buttery fly is 725

Based on the 169 butterflies, I'd guess a 625. Would more than likely have the 1 11/16th throttle bore to be the 725 and that base is too small. Suck because the old BG website had some killer information on Demons but the new site doesn't. Makes it really hard to identify since most of the older Demons have no markings of any kind.

I think your right. Its not a 725 because the different size butterflies so its down to the boosters Downleg or Annular to determine the size. Either way its a V6 or small V8 carb

When someone asks me to identify a Demon carb, my first thought is a paperweight, doorstop or pencil holder! lol

Ask Prostreet what you should do with a Demon carb. That's funnier.

I have the old Demon book that might have more info, but based on my experience with Demon carb's dwscr's info is correct. I'll go through the book later and see if there is more info.

I have a 625 Road Demon. This particular carb had every known problem that plagued demon carbs. I found and fixed all the issues and modified it to screw-in bleeds and idle feed restrictors. Its a good carb now.

Listen.....you can get a Demon carb to work just fine. Can take some work but a Holley can take some work too. Some of the old Demons have better quality base and block castings, I love the adjustable rear throttle position setup, most of the bowls have sight windows while Holley still uses brass plugs, just to name a few. With that said, they are still a Holley knock-off. I still think the greenish-gold dichromate finish on the Holleys wreak "muscle car". Holley also has much better quality control though it's yet to be seen with this latest go around of the Barry Grant name.

The idle-ez screw is by far the best advance in carbs in a long time.

I guess you could look at it that way, create a controlled vacuum leak, But it beats drilling the butter flies and hoping you got it right.

I agree........plus you can go backwards with that but you can't with a drill bit! Biggest problem with drilling is that guys don't realize just how little they need to make a difference. Also, 90% of all engines out there don't need that done. Just for the really big cams with no vacuum. I see guys all the time drill the butterflies to try and fix a problem that is completely unrelated!
