V-6 to V-8 conversion

I,m swapping a v-8 into my 67 GMC 4x4 I have the v-8 engine crossmember. Who knows for sure if it is supose to bolt up in the same holes as the v-6 member came out of. The holes line up, but I am concerned with proper engine set back.

Re: V-6 to V-8 conversion

There should be another set of open bolt holes behind what the V6 crossmemeber bolts to on the frame. put the back holes in the v8 crossmember in these holes. the front crossmember holes should line up with the back of the v6 crossmember holes.

thats how it was for my truck, no drilling required.
