Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

Put a tailgait on it some new chrome bumpers. Basically wanted to get it driver friendly before I started to really work on it. One thing I have learned if you can drive it and work on it you enjoy it and if I cant drive it I always sell it Sorry for pic quality cell phone pic

Nice. Now it's time to get that straight axle in the front to finish off the stance....

Big thrash before Goodguys 08. found a set of 15x6 Cragars for front. removed concrete and sand bags from bed and replaced with 2" blocks and C notched rear frame. New winshield and rear window rubbers. tinted rear window YELLOW. Replaced drivers side rocker and front fender panel( it is screwed on over fender and tacked on bottom done at 0130 AM Friday morning before show lower fender is full of bondo)
washed and all cleaned up for Goodguys 08

Cool man, started a thread!!!!! Looks like you started with a fairly nice truck, too. All that concrete and sand really helps with the traction in the winter months.

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck

Future plans Next weekend put my dropmeber in followed by a Turbo 350 trans, shifter on the column. The 292 6 is stayin it runs great and does not leak or use oil. Bag rear install narrower rear end do whatever it taks to get back down more. RIGHT NATE. Also mount gas tank under bed and install raised metal bed floor. I would also like to paint over primer and tailgait (blend in greenstock color) Then drive the F OUT OF IT.
Hopefully MARCH MEET 09

What is March Meet? The only thing I see wrong is that Ford sign in your picture...

Your going the wrong way for Gasser influence.

Lift the front 6 inches with a solid axle and parallel leafs.

cool truck, but thats not at all what Id call a gasser style. That pic Rogus posted was a gasser style. That look is hard to pull off & look right with trucks in my opinion...just my 2cents
