Differential ?

What rear end (differential) is this (pictured)? Its on a 1967 C20 camper special all original (except engine changed from 327 to 350).

Re: Differential ?

Eaton

Most likely a HO52. It was the precursor to the Corporate "14 bolt".

The Eaton was last used in 1972 models and many parts are scarce.

edit to add: theses axles are very heavy duty. Make sure it never leaks and it'll last forever

Re: Differential ?

Found this thanks to your input, thank you.

I think I have the 4:10 ratio. Drove this '67 C20 back from Mobile to New Orleans at 65-70 MPH, didn't push it. Engine was changed for the 350 from 327 stock, but all else is stock TH400 transmission. Truck had only 66K miles on it.

Going through other posts, glad I found this as I need to inspect the brakes.

I thought it odd on my '53 dealing with an "enclosed" drive shaft - this is again something new and different to figure out.
