Watch a man drive off with my truck today
I've been so ill lately (3 weeks in hospital trying to die) that my truck is just sittin under a tree soaking up the sap and dripping what's probably not sap (trans fluid I think). So I asked a friend to come exercise ol girl and maybe give her a wash.
It's not every day I let another man drive one of my cars. But it looks like it's gonna be a while before I can drive again. I do trust my friend (obviously) but still sad listening to that sweet rumble heading off in the distance. |

Re: Watch a man drive off with my truck today
Get well soon--- I can relate to not letting anyone drive your ride. My son in law would love to drive any of mine. He makes good grand kids----but he aint drivin my stuff (I do let him drive my farm tractor once in a while!!!!

Re: Watch a man drive off with my truck today
Thanks fellas, but I think its gonna be a while. Told my buddy to keep her till I can come get her.
I've been up and down with foot then back surgeries this year. Ended up sick and found out I was septic from an infectious abscess on my spine from last back surgery. Doc ended up splaying open most of my lower back to clean it all out. I'm just glad abscess didn't rupture into spinal sac and kill me. Sad story but I'm still sad about this ugly memory of my truck going the wrong way! LOL |

Re: Watch a man drive off with my truck today
Don't make important decisions when you're down, not feeling yourself, and likely taking mood altering pain meds. Get your truck back so you can look at it and touch it, and know that the worst it'll get is tree sap vs getting stolen, dented, in am accident, abused, etc.

Re: Watch a man drive off with my truck today
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, I will get better fast. Wife got me tablet to help with my sanity. Weird being at home with IV pole in living room. Been thinking of good joke for Ford friend once I'm all better. Gonna fill used IV bag with motor oil using large syringe and give it to him for Christmas gift. I should be long past this PICC line by then.
Got call from buddy earlier. Thought it may have been "feel good" update on truck safety but no.......he just wanted to know if fuel gauge was correct and if so...how many YARDS per gallon it got. Bwahahahahaha |

Re: Watch a man drive off with my truck today
Joja, I hope you feel better soon. Myself, I was laid up on a feed tube in my living room last year for several months, and finally got my surgery in late January this year. I was having pancreatic issues and I can relate to having a hospital bed in the front room. It's not pleasant being tethered to a PICC line or feeding tube, but I got through it and you will too I know! I'm glad you have a good friend helping taking care of your truck, hang in there..
