Air Ride - Compressor and Tank Location Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Could I get some pics/ideas on where some of you may be mounting your air ride components: solenoid block, tank, compressor.

No pics but all my stuff is mounted under the bed behind the rear axle.. 2 3 gallon tanks, valves and compressor all up under there.. Very clean looking..

You'd be better of posting to ask about it at the Suspension forum, which is dedicated to topics like this.

most people put them on the framerails or crossmember just behind the cab, or on the rear framerail or crossmember. Some examples:

i mounted solenoids on the outside of passenger frame rail. i mounted my tank and compressor inside passenger front of bed. everything was in same area.

i apologize, it was NOT actually SCOTI's thread I saw it in, but he posted in it quite a few times. it was actually n2billet's work (and N2TRUX also?) here:

That should give you some ideas. Notice the compressors up behind the cab on the framerail? I've also seen people mount valves on a fabbed (aftermarket) crossmember across the frame back there. But, in general, all of the links I've provided and other pics and info guys have provided here show the "common" ways a lot of the other guys around here do their stuff.
