Is there any way to change this to lets say 5 x 4.75"? a kit or hub rotor that fits?

There's allways a way!

Why would you want to?

One way is you could get a set of adaptors but if you do don't be cheap buy a good billet aluminum set not cast. This way would be the easiest and fastest and cheapest way to go but not the smartest!

Another way is to install a smaller set of spindles and brake rotors & calipers from a S10 but there would be some mod's needed to make them fit but it can be done and a rearend from a S10 or a car that run's a 5x4.75 BP but that kind of defets the purpose of having a truck.

Another way would be to remove the stock rotors and axels from the truck and take them to a machine shop and have them drilled to the 5x4.75 BP.

Im guessing you want to run a set of 5x4.75 wheels and they don't offer them in a 5x5 BP.

Out of the three way i have given you i'd personally do none of them.

The best thing that i can tell you is leave the truck in a 5x5 BP configuration and find another set of wheels that match it.

Rim selection - and I'm going to build a Dana 60 and I'm having a hard time finding aftermarket discs with a 5 x 5 BP. - I can have the custom axles drilled to whatever I want - it's the brakes that worry me.

I'm rebuilding the rear in my '71 and because of my wheel selection I had to go with the 5x4.75 bolt patern on the new axels. New axels from Moser cost me a couple hundred bucks but they are strong. I'm going with disk on the back but I haven't got to the point that I need to make that selection yet.

You could have the rotor drilled for the 5x5.

Why not go out to a 5 X 5.5? A bunch of factory & aftermarket rims to choose from.

Alex,

You can get a rear end out of the junk yard from a 96-99 Impala the Taxi or Police version of the SS all came with rear disc and there a 5x5 BP.

You can have you Dana 60 built using the Impala end flanges so everything will just bolt on.

I called Currie Enterprises, and they offer a 5 x 5bp rear disk set up - so I guess I'll compromise with the rims.

Just another option, I had a custom Dana 60 built using big ford bearing ends, and this allowed me to choose virtually any wheel combo I wanted. I ended up using a rear disc setup from a 74 Lincoln which has 11 inch rear disc with a 5 on 5 pattern.. the Flange also has the parking brake cable mounts
