Re: Looking For Pics Of Sealed Cowl Vents

Here are a couple of pics of my cowl after filling. We cut out the slots, and welded in patch panels. Be sure you do this with the cowl still attached to the truck, it will twist almost a full turn if it is unbolted.

You going to seal off the defroster vents and remove the heater too, of are you getting air from somewhere else now?

Re: Looking For Pics Of Sealed Cowl Vents

sweet,

The vents are there to let leaves, dirt, trash and water into the body, so we can all learn how to fix the ensuing rust.
I have taken out the old A/C and heater, and am using a HotRod Air system that mounts under the dash. The hoses pass through the firewall via a bulkhead. Really cleans up under the hood.

Re: Looking For Pics Of Sealed Cowl Vents

Ohhh, dang. I just finished repairing the leaves, dirt, and trash damage. Also had to redo the windshield washer tubing etc. The job sucks. After seeing these pictures never again. Where do I find out about Hot Rod Air systems?
