Where can I get valve plugs (wires)?
The kit i got came with 4 1/2" valves, but they don't have any wires on them. I noticed the 4 vales I bought seperate have a plug-type that has a screw that secures it to the body of the valve with the wires on it.
Suicide Doors doesn't list anthing as far as parts. I will check Grainger too, but I figured I would ask here as well in case anyone knew. Thanks. |

depending on what brand of valve they are you can usually just use a female spade connector crimped to a wire. if there is 3 prongs on your valve, you usually only use the outer 2.

They are Blitzluft valves. I figured I could hard wire them, but it looks like crap compared to the nice plug mounted to the solenoid. I still haven't found anywhere that I can order from. I have 4 valves missing and one valve the plug got smashed in shipping. I need 5 total and it's pissing me off.

Re: Where can I get valve plugs (wires)?
Just in case anyone gives a crap, they are called "din" connectors and are available at Elect Air in Ontario California for about $3 each.
Roger from Danz called me this morning and gave me the contact info so I could order them. Man, to think everyone thought I was crazy. These have screw-on terminals for the wires, then the cap screws on. I liked this idea vs. soldering the wires on. I think it looks nicer and changing valves will be a lot less hassle. |
