Does anybody have pictures of a 1972 Quadrajet. I am looking for pictures of the throttle linkage and chock pull off.

Re: 72 Quadrajet
Here are a few. These are from years ago, when I first bought my truck... and before I pulled anything apart or rebuilt or adjusted anything. No "after" photos, unfortunately.

Re: 72 Quadrajet
Hey Rich,
If you're talking about the black metal tube coming off the intake snorkel, on the other end that's connected to outside of the driver's side exhaust manifold. I believe it's called a heat riser tube. In the snorkel is a bimetallic butterfly valve; once warmed up it changes position to close the heat riser tube and open the snorkel to outside air. The idea is that warm air, heated quickly by the exhaust manifold, will held the engine warm up during cold starts. Once warm, the valve changes position and cold air is used instead. Mine works well. I hear those valves have a lot of issues. If your truck handles cold starts well I wouldn't worry too much about it.
