Re: Look what I found yesterday

We went to a big yard a while ago and they had all kinds of cool stuff i couldn't even believe 50's and 60's cars and trucks impalas belairs mustangs ,chevelles, pickups all sizes , a regular cornicopia of awsum parts. The owner was really hard to get along with though. About two years ago I drove by there and the whole yard was empty, about 5 acres worth. After asking around I heard the guy died and the family crushed everthing and sold the property,I was almost sick.

Dontchya just get pissed at people like that? The exact same thing happen here in my town just about a year ago. A real crotchety old fart had two yards chock full of vintage tin. I got a few small pieces off of him, but for the most part he was a real pr!ck to deal with so I didn't give him my business. Long story short- the old coot kicks it and the kid takes over the yards. All this punk see's is $240/ton scrap rates and rising property values......crushes everything! He had a complete and very rust free '62 VW Deluxe Microbus (23-window) that I offered him $1500 for, no questions asked. He said no and proceeded to shred it. My buddy wanted to get the front clip for his '50 merc and this dude had a decent one. Same story- offered the guy $400 bucks cash on the spot and even volunteered to dig it out and remove the parts himself.....no deal!
