Question How are you guys bolting....

the bed down when the gas tank is at the back between the frame?

All I can think of is to weld the nuts on the frame. As I can't get my hand in there once the tank is in.

weld the nuts to the frame, or drop the tank, install the bed, then reinstall the tank. I wouldnt think you would be removing the bed much?

Re: How are you guys bolting....

you wouldn't think so....lately it is on and off on and off.

Ill have to check and see if I can get at the tank bolts.

humm what about the Carage bolts with welded nuts won't work.

I think I'll have to put the tank in last.
Had tank and tire in the bed. now I have bags to put in and the tank is going under
the bed now. (dirt bike needs the bed)
CAA is my spare tire.
Have to change the exhaust out the back, to infront of the rearend.
All these changes....

Re: How are you guys bolting....

I used a self tapping sheetmetal screw. It has a 9/16 wrenching head probally 3/8 diameter shank. It has a rubber washer under the head. Hardest part was drilling a pilot hole in the hard frame.

Use to put up steel buildings....they are my favorite! Use em everywhere
