K30 center caps
I am going to buy aluminum wheels for a K30 SRW (single rear wheel) but I cannot find any info on the correct size center caps, I don't want them sticking out any farther then needed, the fronts will be open for the Dana 60. What is the correct size and length? I will be using Alcoa brand caps. Thanks!

Re: K30 center caps
I always left mine open front and back. Too cheap to buy some caps I suppose.

Re: K30 center caps
Thank you! I just need to make sure I order ones that will be long enough without getting ones that are any longer then need be.

Re: K30 center caps
That size wheel are you ordering? The backspace, combined with the width will determin how much distance from the hub face to the edge of the wheel.ie: 15x6" wheel, 3" backspace, you end up with ~2 3/4" before the cap sticks beyond the edge of the wheel. Get a 15x10" wheel with the same 3" back space and you have almost 7" of space to stick a cap.
Have you got a full or semi-floater? Get a cap long enough to clear the axle. Otherwise, just get the shortest one they have if you don't like tall center caps. Alex. |

Re: K30 center caps
Alcoa Classic Single Wheel 16" x 7" 8-6.5" bolt circle, 5.155" hub bore, 4.290" backspace inches, 0.250" offset
Does that help? Going on 4x4 K30 so need the open front caps and I would think they will need to be pretty long as the lockouts on the Dana 60 stick out a good ways. Rear is the standard Corp 14 bolt full floater that came in all the 3/4 and 1tons for years. Thanks for any help, never knew finding center caps would be so hard! |

Re: K30 center caps
I regret ordering my wheels from Southwest wheel, they have no idea what they are doing! I will pay more to avoid them in the feature!
They have no idea what lug nuts our trucks take OR what center caps fit, what a joke. I had to tell them what their screw up was and what lugs I needed as well as what model center caps to order. I talked to both Jeff and Derek there. Now I get to send them back and wait for them to send me the correct parts... Last edited by Kinze; 10-15-2014 at 09:28 PM. |
