wondering

From what little I've driven my truck (just home from the shop...1 mile at the most) it seems to want to wonder all over the place. I'm stuff is worn out. I'm not REAL mechanical but I can replace parts with the best of them. Any ideas what is wrong and what I'll need to get it on the straight and narrow? I finally got it liscensed and my goal is to get it road ready by the end of summer...time to get to work.

Thanks in advance

Re: wondering

The first place to check is the Pitman arm on the steering box and the Idler arm on the other side, the steering box itself, then check Ball Joints. If you put the truck on jackstands on the frame you can move each of these and see if you have any play.
