WE 5103 Bark Blue
Hi, does anyone have a metallic paint code that is close to the original dark blue for my 69 C-10?
Thanks |

Re: WE 5103 Bark Blue
I think John (op) John is looking for a modern metallic version of the 70 dk blue, just something close - not the original code, based on his post he already has that.

Re: WE 5103 Bark Blue
Here is a good starting point.
http://paintref.com/paintref/model/b...%20Truck.shtml One thing to point out is that the '69 down 508 Dark Blue is not the same color as the '70 508 dark blue. However the '69 508 did continue as 570 but was a G van only color. Also the '71-72 523 dark blue is yet another color. While I looked at several colors that seem close enough it will have to be your decision as to which is "close" in your eyes. Metallics do change a color. So take the list and find numbers you like then pull up the actual chip to verify it is a metalic. Then off to the auto paint store for a sample can.

Re: WE 5103 Bark Blue
Hi Guys,
thanks for the welcome and the info. My truck is a 69 with its dark blue non metallic paint. I was hoping to find a metallic paint but not one thats too blingy, that was a close match to the 69 dark blue. Thanks |
