Bench seat I.D
Can some-one identify what year seat this is? I'm suspecting its a Silverado seat but my research hasn't been able to come up with the year. I'd like to find out if the cover is replaceable and available. It has two zips at the back of the upright section and I'm not sure how the base cover is fixed. It's in reasonable nick except for some kind of brown gunk that's been spilled. I think it's some kind of glue and I've tried melting it, it softens but wont let go. Ultimately I would like to get some Buddy seats, but for the time being I have to do with what I've got. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps.

It looks like a 88-94 chevy truck bench seat. I can't remember but the seats might of changed in 93 or 95. These year truck bench seats are great to use for our C10s.
I believe LMC sells replacement covers for them for about $200. If your foam is good that might be a good way to go. Is this seat in your truck already? If so how are the springs and other components under the seat? |

Yep the seat came with the truck. It all seems to be in good condition as far as foam, springs and runners go. It's reasonably comfortable for what it is.

X2 on 88 or 89 those are the only two years that cloth was used. I built a ton of those back in the day. Maybe 250 or more it was a lot, it was sometime along there I was running two shifts in my shop and about 8 guys.That was a lot of work, now it is just me and my 85 year old dad building what we want. I like it better this way. Jim

Hugger.. you wouldn't have any ideas on removing that brown stuff perhaps? Or have a spare cover lying about?
