YES! I've seen many people comment about it. Even on the classifieds where it's really important to post pictures.

Re: trouble adding pictures

Mine just had a fit as well. It is only showing a window for one pic, then it tells you to manually resize your pics. Like I have a clue how to do that...

But, if you re-size it to 640 x 480 it will work fine.

Re: trouble adding pictures

My camera is set to 640 x 480 and it tells me the file is too big.

The last pics I tried to post --it said they were 129 k and the maximum was 109k.

I have downsized the resolution of my camera for this forum once before----but I wont do it again. Im about half way thru my build--Ill try once more to download pics, if they are too large being 640 x 480----then I guess the build thread will be dead!!

If the pictures are 640 x 480 and it says they are too big then the resolution will have to be lowered, either in the camera or by image editing software....

Here is a picture I just sized down and uploaded from my computer. I sized it down from 1600 x 1200 at 72 pixels per inch resolution. It is now 642 x 482 at 60 pixels per inch resolution. The 60 pixels resolution is the important part.

Re: trouble adding pictures

I just posted an add on the parts board. I was able to post pictures that I had resized to 640x480. It's the same pic I tried to post last week and it would not accept, so I think it's getting better

Re: trouble adding pictures

Even when we aren't going through a server change, I resize right on my desktop, before posting, using Microsoft's picture re-sizer (part of powertoys). Good thing about that is I can resize a bunch of pics all at once by selecting multiple pics, then just right-click, chose resize and OK the default size of small (640x480 px).

Only problem I've ever found is when resizing bitmap files. They often don't meet the max 100 KB size so I re-save the pic as JPEG & all is well. I totally avoid my Photobucket account now since it began getting so confusing.

I still run Windows XP and I think there's a similar add-on for Win 8. Don't know about Mac or the other MS operating systems.

Re: trouble adding pictures

I've never resized anything and never had a problem. And I've posted a few. Some of us are just not that computer savvy. Some of us will just have to wait.

Re: trouble adding pictures

you can go to http://postimage.org and upload your picture there. then it gives you a pretty link you can paste into the thread.
then you can put in a bunch of small thumbnails that when you click on them you get the full image.
like this:

or you can choose one of the other options and post a bigger one directly.
like this:
