Re: what makes the bonaza different
There are better threads on this subject but it basically is a chrome trim ring on the door panel , vinyl seat , and side moulding on the fleetside . It only includes the rear cab moulding if it was two toned . Otherwise you get all the upper and lower molding and wheel opening trim but not the cab back trim . No tailgate center trim panel either .For some reason tilt steering seems to be p[opular with the Bonanza . All mine have it . Bonanza was the middle trim level .

Re: what makes the bonaza different
I have a Bonanza catalog for 1978. Basically it was a package offered for the slow Jan to march months.
There where 4 levels of Bonanza trim. YG6 - Scottsdale trim package plus: Bonanza trim plates color key carpet Striped vinyl bench seat Deluxe wheel covers on C & K10 Chromed grille Bright body side moldings Full gauge instruments Clock, AM Radio YG7 - All of the YG6 package plus: Automatic transmission Power steering Tilt wheel Inside hood release YG8 - YG7 package plus: Tinted glass Air Conditioning Cargo Lamp YG9 - YG7 pagkage plus: Operating convenience group Cruise control Each of these packages offered savings on the options if ordered seperately. Hope this helps |

Re: what makes the bonaza different
I don't think it is a Cheyenne with a Bonanza package. The Bonanza package is a stand alone package. It is actually a Scottsdale with carpet and side trim in actuallity. My Bonanza is a two tone, no cab band, no tail gate band.
I think what you have is a well optioned Cheyenne. |
