Heck yeah! My first truck when I turned 16 was my '70. Still have it, and she takes up a space in my garage. My new truck stays outside haha.

I have the exact same steering wheel, only without the leather wrap. Yours must have been sandalwood color originally, like mine. All the plastic cracked and disintegrated.

Looks like a very nice start for a project!

My first truck was a new 1979 chevy square body-- plane jane, 3ott, with a i6. But it was a blast to drive. You will always have memories of your first truck,

Nice! What do you guys have in mind? Here is my leaf spring truck with a DJM flip in the rear and ECE disc conversion spindles and 2" springs in the front. 66k miles and all original otherwise.

We are in the process of looking for parts right now. We are comparing prices between year one, brothers, south Kentucky classics, LMC, & Ecklers

Put you a bench seat in that thing and keep the manual shift. Manuals are going out fast so having one puts a man in a class of his own.

When you start dating, you'll understand why I advised getting a bench seat.

We still have the original bench seat, but if his mom sees this post we will have to go with just one bucket seat.

Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup

Only one bucket seat will leave too much room for other risky business .

We finally had time this weekend to disassemble part of the truck. We took of the front fenders & took out the carpet on the inside.

Re: 1970 Chevy C10 pickup

The passenger floor isn't too bad, but the drivers side is going to need a floor pan.

I also started to clean parts. We are using electrolysis to clean the hood hinge.
