How do you Remove an AT cross member?!
I'm parting out a donor truck to convert my 6cyl 3 on the tree to an V-8 TH350 and I need the cross memer from the donor truck. The rivets / bolts are out, but it seems to be wedged too tight between the frame rails. I was figuring I would rotate it and get it to fall out, but that doesn't seem work.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Brian |

Hammer and a block of wood, they usually wedge in there. The crossmememer does need to rotate to fall out from between the frame rails

Maybe rotate wasn't the right word....possibly twist is more appropriate. None the less drive one side forward and the other back and it should come out of there aye?

Thats how I installed mine, Im sure reverse is the same. Hit one side then the other. Might be easier if its a junk truck, can cut the brake cables.
