angle strips

how have you guys replaced the angle strips in your bed mine seem to be rusted on are there rivits I already cut all the bolts that I could see and they still dont budge for some reason I cant post pics

They are spot welded on. The corners should go over the top of the old ones.At least I've seen some that do. I took mine off and my bedsides are warped some what. New ones do not attach to the bedsides.

I used a spotweld remover (a 3/8 drill bit) being carefull to only go thru the strip.

A spot weld cutter will avoid drilling through the bed side. After cleaning and prepping the bed side, I would spot weld the new edge angles back in place.
