spindle question
I'm rebuilding a 73-87 chevy 1/2 ton front suspension with 1-1/4" HD rotors. I also have a new set of Early Classic brand drop spindles pn. 911-6370 for use on 63-70 C-10's. Will these spindles work with this suspension, somehow? I plan on installing this on my '62. Can I make these already purchased drop spindles work, or do I need to order year correct drop spindles 73-87's. Any advice would be wonderful!

Re: spindle question
call the mfg of the spindles to make sure but I think you will find they will not work on the later model truck due to the size of the lower ball joint, and the axle itself is smaller than the later model spindle as well.

Re: spindle question

the ball joints are different between those years your better off seeing if you can exchange them for 7387hd spindles 1.25" rotors. i dont know how long youve had them thanks tim |

Re: spindle question
Thanks for the help. Yeah I measured from top of upper ball joint to the bottom. Total outside dimension show the drop spindle being about 1/4" shorter compared to the stock 73-87. I was hoping someone had experience doing something like this by using 63-70 balljoints in 73-87 control arms.
