72 suburban vin# id
Hi Guys,
I am off to view and pickup a 72 Suburban I bought through E-bay. Have not paid yet, cash when it proves to be what was described. the vin # he gave me was cce162f1770--, can any one tell me about this vehicle. I have left the last 2 digits out. thanks rod

Looks to be a 2WD, 8cyl, 1/2 ton, 1972, built in Flint, MI. Production #77,0xx
The 6 usually stands for Blazer, but it may have been used for Burbons as well - not sure on that one.

C = Chevrolet, C = 2-wd, E = V8, 16 = burb body, 2 = 1972, F = Flint (I think), and the last numbers = 1770-- are the production numbers |
