Need help finding a truck for a friend - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My friend is looking for a 67-72 Chevy/GMC shortbed stepside pickup truck to fix up. Do any of you on here know of any for sale in Georgia for around $500 and that's in good shape? I've already tried the classified section oh here but had no luck finding one in Georgia or for around that price. He has a motor already so he's not really worried about whether it has a motor or not. Any help would be appreciated.

You`re in the right area to find one at that price.In good shape?Expect to pay more.

My friend isn't worried about whether there's a motor and transmission in it and whether the interior and glass is all there because he want's to fix it up himself. He likes fixing up old Chevrolets/GMCs. Just as long as the frame is straight and the body isn't banged up and rusted out. My friend has been around fixing up old cars all his life because his dad has fixed up a lot of old Chevy cars and trucks and his uncle restores old cars for a living. Around $500-$1,000 is around what he is looking at.

Ther probably wont be too many $500 "good shape" ones arround these parts or any where else for that matter. You might get lucky and find one but I would plan on $1000 to $1500 for one you could just drop an engine and tranny in and go.

here try this guy out in GA.his name is cecil lynn,i was there bout three yrs ago he had a little of everything. he had a black 69 step with a bad boy motor in it for 1500.00.but hes got long beds short beds etc.his address is
RT 2 box 210 waycross GA.
phone number is,912-283-9481. hes bout 90 yrs old got a killer truck that he drives,got a completely restored 72 in his barn says that it's his wife's truck.he's a really cool man easy to talk to and get along with.check him out
you might find what you need there he's got awhole back yard full of 67-72 trucks.
