upper door window seal/felt

I am trying to install Precision window felts and am having a fitment issue. The 2 upper pins that pop in seem to have the whole felt set back and down in the door at least a half an inch further than they should be. They dont run all the way to the vent window from where the pins are pressed in, and are bunched right at the part where they have reliefs cut and drop into the door tracks.
Anyone else have these kinds of issues? I'm almost thinking to pull the pins out and slide it up and forward just utilizing the press fit in the channel

Shoot me a PM with your phone number so I can give you a call. Something doesn't sound right!
