Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

EDIT: I HAVE 1 AVAILABLE AS OF 1-23-15 These sway bars are a great improvement to the handling of your 67-72 4wd truck, blazer, suburban. You will need to remove your front crossmember and install this one which is equipped with the brackets to mount the sway bar to. The kit includes the sway bar, the spring plates for attaching the bar to your leaf springs, and the front crossmember. You will need new bushings (Napa auto parts), and some grade 8 bolts. This one is in nice shape and I will remove the shims that were used for the 6" lift that this came from. NOTE: It may require grinding 1/8" on the u bolt plates if the axle tube is 2.75" diameter.
$90 plus shipping. Shipping will cost between $32-$48. Post office money order or paypal...you cover fees.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

Its on a truck that I need to take apart. Usually, the sway crossmember is the last thing to be removed. I will try to speed it up.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

I still have to remove the crossmember from the frame horns and there are some "chatter marks" possibly from a flex fan launching that will clean up easily with a flapper disc on an angle grinder. Otherwise solid and in good shape.

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

Thank you. Do you ever come across just the cross member? Is the cross member the same on a truck that was not optioned with a sway bar? Whoever put the one on my truck did not use the cross member, they created some bracket mounts. It works ok just not real pretty and this. May be something I want to clean up.

Thanks again.

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

The crossmember is the toughest part to get because it requires cutting up a frame and they are specific to the sway bar. I have another sway bar setup available. mesracer is first up.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

I would be interested. Can you send me some pictures? Would it have the front cross member like the last ones?

Thank you

Re: Another 4X4 Front Sway Bar

This one has the cross member just like the other ones. It works with stock height suspension and will require shims between the cross member and the sway bar for lifted trucks. I have seen these shims installed on tuff country lift kits, but they are easy to make on your own. I will post pics of this one soon.
Thanks,
Ray
