How Rare Is This CL Find?
I'm not in the market, but, this has to be fairly unique. It looks is pretty good shape. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/1017044320.html

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
Far as I know they were never made from GM. IT looks like a nice truck, but not factory.

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
Since when? I have at least 30 original trucks saved in my files. They did make 1 ton 4x4's. If they didnt then we have a bunch of fakes on this board.

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
Even if they did make duallies in 71, I don't think they would use 73-87 fenders on them.

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
I can't find a one ton 4x4 option (K30) in the 1968 GM Restoration Guide.
That thing looks like it has '73-'87 stepside fender extensions. I have seen some with the extensions made from '67-'72 stepside fenders which I like a little better. I do like the idea of a one ton dually 4x4 Longhorn though...LOL!

gm didn't make factory K30's until late 76 as 77 models. anything else is napco or homebrewed.

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
...and maybe the pics don't do the truck justice, but unless that's a helluva truck (mucho $$ spent on axles, suspension, brakes), I wonder why they think they'll get 6K? I think the only one buying something like that is someone that would use it as a truck, and that person would do better getting a factory 4x4 dually (later years), right? I'd pay decent money for a factory ride in that shape, but not that rig.
Yeah, it's unique, I guess...

Re: How Rare Is This CL Find?
I'll give you my next 3 paychecks if you show me a VIN plate that starts with KE3, KS3 or KM3.... or even a CKE3 CKS3... 67 - 72 only.
No photoshop, I'll require photos and a pencil "rubbing" and I'll send you the $$. |
