Last picture of the burb in my possession!
Well here is the last picture of the burb that I will have taken. Maybe I was in a weakened state but I decided to let it go. I have owned this truck since 96 and spent countless hours on it and too much money to count. It was the first vehicle I built where quality overrode prices but I got to the point where i just couldn't spend anymore on it.It went to a board member here that lives in Canada and he will take it to the next step I am sure. It is an end of an era or chapter in my life for sure.

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
Been there and done that on all my old builds... And its 100% true that you will never get back what you spend on these builds when you sell.. Believe me you will have a new chapter to start another build.. I have.

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
Hey guys, thanks for the words of encouragement. I am picking my new ride up Sat morning to go with my 65 BBW SWB. It is a 65 chevelle SS , 300HP 327 4 speed and it has been in the same spot since 1982. All original, no rust, no dents, original paint and bone stock. SHould be fun for banging gears.

Your burb has always been the one that I compare all others too. I'm sorry to see it go. Good luck on your current project. I hope it fills the void for you.

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
I second that! your burb is the first one that got me to thinking of getting one, really like the motor and interior you had in it!

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
that is a nice Burb. i drove my last Corvette 14 years and sold it for pennies on the dollar i spent on it. but it had to go i could not justify spending any more money on it. i hope your next project gives you lots of enjoyment.

You built an awesome burb, a true example to follow. Sorry to hear it's sold but wishing you just as great success on your next project.

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
wow wow wow
I know about moving on I sold my "first One" (bought in 1990) but fate brought it back after six yrs without. never again... not for any price . with the sale did you get the "first call clause" when the new owner goes to sell .? build another..sure.! longing for the first later but definitly . It's a passion. life without passion is not worth living |

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
Typically mixed emotions on selling stuff you work hard on.
But I can say I loved the Burb, and am thankfull you built and shared it. When I sold my van and Nicola's 100E there was regret but now its become good memories and the truck is building up new memories. Look forward to your next toy and hope you continue to contribute on here.

Been there myself many times. What helped me was building something else I ended up loving even more. Good luck.

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
That chevelle is sick! As was the burb but given you have a truck I think you'll be just fine. I misses the nova I had. It used an all aluminum t10 from a 63 vette. Banging gears just can't be beat. Congrats

Re: Last picture of the burb in my possession!
It's not always easy. I've hung onto a few for fear of missing them, and once sold never looked back. Others I've sold with not much thought and now deeply regret letting them go. Ha! Good Luck!
