Well I finally took my……..updated PICS
.......frame to the sand blaster. And when I washed it and got it ready to go I found that it still had about 40% of the original paint on it. It also had several of the chalk marks from the assembly line, Which I tried to document so I can put them back on. I was very happy with the shape of the frame and it made me thankful to find the truck in an area like west Texas.
The sand blaster did a good job, but I forgot to take my camera with me to day. I will try to post some pics of it later.

Re: Well I finally took my……..
Now that's a real true frame off! That is so neat documenting and replicating those original chalk numbers. I have tried to capture the firewall markings and replacing in grease pencil but have never found much for frame markings with undercoating and of course corrosion and the high pressure washers. That has to be one of only a handful to be restored down to that detail that I have ever seen anywhere. Great job. You also very lucky to have that much detail to start with. I did notice that original detail on that 67 CST I got from you too. Keep posting pictures.

Re: Well I finally took my……..
painted it today. I would have more room and time to work on my truck if my poker habit wasn't this bad.

Re: Well I finally took my……..
I had it blasted. I think he uses #3 or #4 sand I can't remember. The paint was Dupont Nason chassis black. I wanted a seim-gloss like the General did it with and I think this will do fine.

Quick question, a little off subject but...
What part of West Texas are you from?
