Center Console

I saw this in a 1972 Jimmy for sale (on ebay). It folds up to make a seat.....Anyone have an idea what it is from or where I could get one? Thanks, Travis

Re: Center Console

My opinion: Looks just like something out of a '70's - '80's "conversion kit" from a customized van, or a full-size pickup, installed between the correct Chev buckets. Especially with the heavily-varnished cup holder wood piece.

Those conversions were all the rage in those days, & several builders specialized in doing them, & re-sold them thru the new car / truck dealerships, often with fancy exterior paint jobs. Scallops, fades, continental kits on the back doors of the vans, etc.

Good way to pick up some fancy bucket seats, consoles, overhead map lights, etc, because now those vehicles are usually sitting in the salvage yards, if the crushers haven't got 'em.
